The Ansmann Racing Powerjack EP Pro is a specialised, plug-in charger designed for NiCd and NiMH battery packs, typically used in remote-controlled (RC) cars and hobby electronics. 

 

Key Specifications for the Powerjack EP Pro:

·         Input Voltage: 230V AC, 50Hz via 2 pin DIN plug

·         Supported Battery Types: 6-8 cell NiCd / NiMH packs (7.2V - 9.6V)

·         Output Voltage: 8.4V - 11.2V DC

·         Charging Current: 80 - 170mA, output voltage dependent (Trickle charger)

·         Connector Type: Standard Tamiya connector

·         Functionality: Charge a drive battery (7,2V) and radio battery (9.6V) simultaneously

·         Features: Short-circuit and reverse polarity protection

·         Safety: The unit is designed for overnight or slow trickle charging (approx. 14 hours). Red, yellow and green LEDs alert the user to the charger’s status. 

·         Simplicity: This is not a microprocessor controlled charger, it is intended for basic, safe, and inexpensive charging of older NiCd/NiMH RC packs.
